Event Planning. Blockchain. Motherhood. All at Once.
I've spent my whole life doing one thing: events. But if you look at my background, you'll be confused. I have two Bachelor's degrees: one in Dance, another in Audiovisual Technology and a Master's in Administration. Why the zigzag? Let's just say I was figuring it out. Then I met events, and it was love at first sight. Fast forward to today: 17 years of experience in events management, 8 years as CEO of my own company, and nearly a year deep in the crypto trenches. You can call me a lot of things (well, not everything), but boring isn't one of them.
In these 17 years, I've learned that events aren't just about logistics, they're about building genuine connections. And now I'm doing that in an industry that's rewriting the rules of finance, technology, and community.
I'm Events Lead at P2P.org, where I manage partner relationships, sponsorship deals, and community engagement in the crypto space. My track record? Consistently hitting 100% of my KPIs while navigating one of the most dynamic industries out there. And before you think I'm being arrogant... Well, this is what men do and it's called being self-aware of your value, right?
Here's the thing: I didn't come from a technical background. I came from 17 years of making events unforgettable, and I brought that expertise into Web3. That's exactly why Double Shift exists.
This blog is where Maria the career woman meets Maria the mom. It's where honest conversations happen about what it's really like to work in crypto without a computer science degree. It's about the second shift we all pull, the one that happens after the "official" workday ends.
No fluff. No jargon for jargon's sake. Just authentic insights from someone who's figuring it out in real-time, hitting deadlines, managing stakeholders, and still making it home for dinner.
I believe the crypto industry needs more diverse voices, people who bring expertise from other fields, who ask different questions, and who aren't afraid to admit when they're still learning.
Whether you're an event professional curious about Web3, a crypto company looking for community engagement strategies, or just someone who appreciates real talk about career and motherhood — you're in the right place.
